Guide to downloading Ecosia Campus on Mac and Windows

1. Download Google Chrome to your computer via the internet

2. Make Google Chrome your default browser: In Google Chrome click the three dots in the top right corner -> choose settings -> default browser -> choose Google Chrome as your default browser (see the two pictures below)

Ecosia is aware that it’s not ideal that Google must be used, though at the moment it’s necessary in order to use the Ecosia extension that counts the number of searches for the entire school.

3. Click the Ecosia Campus link here:

4. You will now enter the Chrome webshop. Add the extension: Click “Add to Chrome” (see picture below)

5. Click “Add extension” (see picture below)

6. Accept all cookies

7. Click “Start searching” (see picture below)

8. If you are asked whether you intended to change the search engine: Click “Keep it.”

9. Now you’re ready to use Ecosia as your new search engine!
